Language Support

MS Windows XP
To read Devanagari, you need to Enable Complex Scripts as described below:


>> Go to Control Panel in your computer
>> Double Click Regional and Language Options
>> Select Languages Tab
>> Under supplemental language support, check the box to install files for complex script
>> Click OK to all the opened windows and close it.

MS Windows 2000
To read Devanagari, you need to Enable Indic Support as described below:


>> Go to Control Panel in your computer
>> Double Click on Regional Options
>> In General Tab, language settings for the system, check the Indic box and click OK
>> You may have to insert the Windows 2000 CD in the CD ROM Drive
>> After all the required files are copied, you may need to restart the computer

TO WRITE IN NEPALI (Ba Ka Maa Na Sa Pi Va Ja)
You need to install Nepali Remington Keyboard as described below:


>> Download Nepali Keyboard Setup Program. (Distributed by Unlimited Software)
>> Unzip the folder
>> Double Click the setup.exe file, and the keyboard driver will be installed
>> Now you need to activate the keyboard:
>> Windows 2000: In Control Panel, Double Click on Regional Options. Under Input Locales Tab, Add Sanskrit Language and Choose Nepali Keyboard in available keyboard listings
>> Windows XP: In Control Panel, Double Click on Regional and Language Options. Click on Details under Languages Tab and Add Sanskrit Language and Choose Nepali Keyboard in available keyboard listings
Note: Do not select the Default Devanagari Inscript Keyboard!

TO WRITE IN NEPALI (Using Roman Nepali)
You need to install Indic-IME 1 Keyboard (Transliteration)


>> Download INDIC-IME 1 Keyboard Setup Program. (Distributed by Microsoft for Registered users)
>> Double Click the setup.exe file, and the IME support will be installed
>> Now you need to activate the keyboard:
>> Windows 2000: In Control Panel, Double Click on Regional Options. Under Input Locales Tab, Add Hindi Language and Choose Indic-IME 1 Keyboard in available keyboard listings
>> Windows XP: In Control Panel, Double Click on Regional and Language Options. Click on Details under Languages Tab and Add Hindi Language and Choose Indic-IME 1 Keyboard in available keyboard listings
Note: Do not select the Default Hindi Traditional Keyboard!
You cannot type Roman Nepali directly in Web Browser Forms. You will have to first type in a WordPad or a Text Document, then copy it to the Web Form!


Input Languages in the Language Bar will appear as EN for English, SA for Sanskrit, and HI for Hindi. You should be able to choose the appropriate Input Language in the tray panel at the lower right corner of your monitor. You can also press Alt-Shift to switch between languages.
